Investment Readiness Workshops for Clean Energy Companies


The Carbon Trust Incubator programme organises specialist investment workshops in order for early stage and start-up companies to fully understand what is required to develop and commercialise early stage low carbon technology.

The Investment Readiness workshops are designed to provide insight into what is required to develop a successful growing business and to understand the investor’s perspective. The core of the programme is four days of workshops. The workshops will include specialist mentoring in:

  • Business strategy
  • Market analysis
  • Product development
  • Legal requirements
  • Patents and licencing
  • Sales and marketing
  • Human resources
  • Financial management
  • Valuation


In addition to the above modules, participants in the workshop will have the opportunity of visiting successful companies in the sector as well as specialist technical testing and accreditation centres.

The objective of the workshops is not only to provide assistance to early stage companies in building their businesses but also to look for suitable investment candidates for the Carbon Trust Venture Capital fund.
