- Requests that are not submitted through our online application process
- Projects that do not meet our aims
- Requests for ongoing support of R&D activities
- An endorsement of products or services
- Fundamental research
- Training and information dissemination
- Projects to install readily available technology
eg solar panels or small wind turbines on school buildings
- Project where we are not material, distinctive or additional- LCTA monitor and review
- In house product development R&D
- Copy of existing products/services
- Ideas that are not founded on sound scientific principles
What we can’t support:
- Any activities that are related to the development of the business and not the technology- New patent application and protection
- Marketing activities, market research
- Recruitment, staff training
- Office set up
- Accounting, tax returns, legal advice etc
- Anything that does not bring benefit to the UK
- Any support outside our funding limits
- £250K, AD 60%, ED 40%
- Any support that does not comply with R&D Framework State Aid
- PF 100%, AD 75%, ED 50%
- Any illegal activities
