The Carbon Trust in Northern Ireland works closely with Northern Ireland businesses to help them achieve and sustain lower carbon emissions.

Supported by Invest NI the Carbon Trust in Northern Ireland seeks to help Northern Ireland companies on a strategic basis to help reduce their carbon emissions and increase the competitiveness of their business through lower energy bills. Overall since 2002 we have helped our Northern Ireland customers achieve circa £200m in direct cost savings and circa 2.5Mt in CO2 savings.

Michelin-Tyre manufacturer cuts energy costs by 19%, without reinventing the wheel (CTS229)

 

Working in partnership with Carbon Trust, Michelin have implemented a wide range of energy saving projects. These include the development of dedicated staff training, improvements to chilled water provision and process insulation upgrade.
