Important Changes to the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme

Founded in 1992, the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme (EEAS) is the leading independent emission reduction award scheme in the UK and currently has more than 200 accredited members. The scheme recognises the achievements of businesses and organisations in reducing energy consumption and has been very successful in raising awareness of the need to manage energy efficiently.

Since 2005, the EEAS has been owned by the Carbon Trust through its subsidiary company Carbon Trust Enterprises Ltd. Given increasing government, business and public sector focus on climate change, the Carbon Trust has decided to re-launch the scheme in early summer 2008 with a move in focus to carbon emission reduction.

The re-launched scheme will retain all the strengths and benefits of the EEAS, whilst providing an enhanced service to both existing and new customers and a greater impact on climate change.

If you would like to be kept up to date with news about the progress of the new initiative and receive an information-pack telling you all about it when it is launched, please complete our contact form. By telling us a little more about the nature and size of your organisation, it will mean that we can be sure to send you the most appropriate information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your interest.
