Produce Specification: Lighting

Complete the sections of the specification in accordance with your requirements defined earlier.
It is not possible to provide a comprehensive guide to all the technical aspects of lighting. However, the template provides a guide to the key information required to define your required solution including:
- Lamp and luminaire type
- Number of units
- Distribution and mounting height
- Controls and operation
- Other characteristics such as colour appearance or rendering
It may be appropriate to leave some or all of the specification to the expertise of your chosen supplier or installer, depending on your own level of knowledge. You will need to use your judgement in determining the ultimate format and content of the specification, and it is likely that this will evolve once you enter into discussions with potential suppliers. The important thing is to have a document to form the basis of initial discussions.
