Justify Project: Business Case
|
|
Remember when compiling your business case, ensure that it:
- Succinctly summarises the case for progressing with your project in language appropriate for senior management.
- Provides a positive, stimulating read that does not lose the reader in too great an amount of technical detail.
- Includes appropriate next steps that take account of your ability to deliver them.
- Provides technical detail as a back up – this will avoid the potential to revisit the discussion at a later date.
The templates can be used directly or adapted to meet your in-house style. You may want to summarise key financial statistics in Powerpoint for example. The spreadsheet allows you to enter the costs and benefits of your project to calculate the NPV, IRR and simple payback. You can copy the output table into your business case or other documentation.
