About the Guide
This guide has been produced as a ‘self help’ tool to support companies and organisations in the implementation of energy saving projects relating to lighting and associated control systems, either refurbishment of existing systems or new build projects.

Justify Project
This section gives you advice on how to prepare and business case in order to justify your project to senior management and secture the financial and other resources required

Define Needs
Once a potential lighting project has been identified it will be necessary to define your required solution in further detail before you are in a position to approach potential suppliers.

Produce Specification
Before contacting a potential supplier(s) or installer(s) you will need to translate this into a specification that clearly defines the requirements and the objectives of your project.

Procurement
You have defined your project and technical specification, but now need to identify potential suppliers to approach for quotes. Who should you go to, and how do you know what to ask for in terms of their qualifications and expertise?
