See below for three areas to focus on for reducing energy in your sector:

Process heating and drying: this comprises about 40% of the energy used in UK industry. Find out more easy ways you could save up to 10% of this energy - for example by maximising the throughput through high temperature processes (without compromising product quality) to minimise energy consumed per unit production.

Motors and drives: these use almost two thirds of the electricity consumed by UK industry. Efficiency is critical - the cost of running a motor for a year can be ten times what it cost to buy in the first place. Find advice to make your motors more energy efficient and reduce your bills.
Energy management: get buy-in for energy saving across all levels of the company, from appointing an energy manager and monitoring energy use, to developing an action plan and training staff.
