Univar is a sales, marketing and distribution company for chemicals and polymers, serving industries from engineering to pharmaceuticals. By implementing Carbon Trust recommendations, it has cut its annual CO2 emissions by over 20%, and seen its energy bill fall by more than £75,000, since 2005.

Express Engineering

Express Engineering asked the Carbon Trust to carry out an on-site carbon survey to identify carbon and energy saving projects. The company then applied for two interest-free 0% business loans to fund the installation of energy saving equipment.

Westbury Dairies is the largest single-site dairy in the UK. In 2004 Westbury’s annual energy bill was in excess of £2m and so the organisation contacted the Carbon Trust for advice on energy efficiency.

Situated in the heart of Ipswich, the Buttermarket Shopping Centre has an annual energy bill of £128,000, equating to more than 960 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The centre contacted the Carbon Trust for a free energy survey in order to help prioritise measures within its limited budget.
