Who is eligible to apply?
The Networks Initiative is open to the majority of trade and professional bodies and trade unions.
Organisations who work exclusively with, or for, the public and domestic sectors, and organisations that represent universities, are not eligible for funding.
Organisations working in the transport sector should contact the Carbon Trust Networks Team at networks@carbontrust.co.uk, as there are restrictions on the types of projects eligible for funding.
How much can you apply for? There are two levels of funding; up to £30k support, and up to £140k support.
- Up to £30k – This level of funding is typically for small or introductory projects. At this level, no investment is needed from the applicant.
- Up to £140k – This level of funding is provided for larger or ongoing programmes of work. At this level, the organisation must invest at least £60k in the project itself, regardless of the level of funding applied for.
The application for the higher funding level requires more detail and a greater degree of project management.
How to apply Applications can be submitted online or by printing the form (for 30k funding or 140k funding) and posting it to the Carbon Trust London Office.
Before submission, applicants must ensure their proposal meets all the relevant eligibility criteria. If successful, they must also be able to sign up to the Carbon Trust contract.
Details on both the eligibility criteria and contractual terms and conditions for this year’s call are available throughout the Networks area under 'Funding Application Information'.
