The Carbon Trust
The Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit company with the mission to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. We provide specialist support to help business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies. The Carbon Trust is primarily grant-funded by DECC and the Devolved Administrations, and in 2008/09 also received grant funding from Defra and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Carbon Trust Enterprises Limited
Carbon Trust Enterprises Limited aims to create valuable new low carbon businesses. It provides co-investment and strategic opportunities to partners whose skills and capital investment complement those of the Carbon Trust, and works with them to turn carbon reducing business ideas into reality.
Carbon Trust Investments Limited
Carbon Trust Investments invests its own funds - leveraged with other private funding - into the UK’s clean energy technology industry. It is one of the UK’s leading co-investors in clean technology, typically investing between £250,000 and £3 million per transaction. Carbon Trust Investments is advised on its investment activities by CT Investment Partners LLP, in which it holds a 40% interest.
Carbon Trust International Limited
The Carbon Trust mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. Our international activities are furthering our mission, through providing services to international companies in calculating and certifying carbon footprints, working in partnerships to develop low carbon technologies and also through sharing our expertise of reducing carbon emissions with other countries and regions.
