Former BVCA Chief Executive to head up Carbon Trust Investments team


Peter Linthwaite, former Chief Executive of the British Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (BVCA), today becomes Managing Partner at CT Investment Partners LLP (CTIP).  In this role Peter will lead the CTIP team which advises Carbon Trust Investments.  Peter will look to develop further CTIP’s leading market position in the rapidly growing clean energy sector. Prior to his BVCA role, Peter’s 20 year career in private equity included senior positions in Murray Johnstone and Royal London Private Equity in both the UK and Asia.

Carbon Trust Investments has to date invested in eleven companies and leveraged total funding of £80 million. Recent investments include CamSemi, an energy efficient power supply unit developer; and Green Biologics, a developer of novel fermentation processes for the biofuel sector. Two of its investments, Ceres Power and CMR Fuel Cells, have successfully listed on Aim.
